Fencing is most of what we do. Whether a storm has flattened a few panels, the old fence has rotted at the posts, or you want a new boundary that will last, Jordan comes out, measures up and gives you a clear price, usually within a couple of days of you getting in touch.
We put up closeboard fencing built in place with arris rails or feather-edge boards, ready-made panels on concrete or timber posts, contemporary horizontal slatted screens, picket fencing for front gardens, and trellis on top for extra height or privacy. Old fencing, posts and concrete are dug out and taken away, and the garden is left tidy.
Jordan is a carpenter by trade, which shows in the details: posts set plumb and in line, gravel boards level, and awkward runs around trees, slopes and old walls worked out properly rather than bodged. As one customer put it after a tricky job with a big tree and old concrete posts: “They even went above and beyond to save my roses.”

Questions about fencing
How long does a new fence take to put up?
Most domestic fences are done in a day or two. As a guide, one customer's job of seven panels with new posts and gravel boards was done in a single day, as quoted. We tell you how long yours will take when we price it.
Do you take the old fence away?
Yes. Old panels, posts and concrete are dug out and taken away, and we tidy up before we leave.
Concrete or timber posts?
Concrete posts with concrete gravel boards last the longest and won't rot, which makes them a good choice for panel fences. Timber posts suit closeboard fences built in place and some contemporary styles. We'll tell you what we'd use on your job and why.
How high can my fence be?
Under the usual permitted development rules in England you can put up a fence up to 2 metres high without planning permission, or 1 metre where it runs alongside a road or the pavement next to it. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some estates have extra rules. If you're not sure, ask us when we quote.
How much does a new fence cost?
It depends on the length, height, the type of fence and posts, and how easy access is. We come out, measure up and give you a clear price for free. You'll know the full cost before any work starts.
